I'm Marco Blasco, author, analyst and product tester at LA CASA SIBARITA, a project that compares, assesses and recommends products for the home with a practical, editorial and independent approach.
For more than 5 years I've been putting together comparisons, buying guides and reviews to help you choose better, with clear information, useful criteria and a focus on how products perform in real use.

My experience

I've been creating specialist content about products for the home for more than 5 years. In that time I've written comparisons, reviews, practical guides and informative articles that answer readers' real questions and help you make better-informed buying decisions.
My experience comes from continually analysing product ranges, comparing models, checking key specifications, weighing up strengths and weaknesses, and studying how products perform depending on the type of user, the budget and how they'll be used. These figures cover La Casa Sibarita as a whole:

My approach to analysis

My work follows an editorial method designed to find out which products are really worth it and which type of user they suit best. I don't just collect spec sheets. I compare, filter and assess each product against practical criteria that help you buy.
When I analyse a category, I usually follow this process.

I identify the factors that really matter in that category.
I compare the relevant technical specifications of competing models.
I assess expected performance based on each product's design, features, materials and purpose.
I read verified reviews and look for recurring patterns of satisfaction or failure.
I look at maintenance, ease of use, energy use, guarantee and medium-term running costs.
I work out which type of user each product suits best.
I prioritise the balance between performance, price and real usefulness.

In categories where we carry out specific tests or checks, the results feed into the editorial assessment alongside the comparison with other models in the same segment.
My goal isn't to recommend the most popular product, but the one that best fits your use, your budget and your specific needs.

I don't keep recommending a product once it stops being competitive against the alternatives.

Other projects

Outside LA CASA SIBARITA, I spend part of my time on health communication. At LPA Warriors I explain, drawing on the latest scientific evidence and without scaremongering, what it means to have high lipoprotein(a) and what can be done about that result. It's an educational project, and I say so there just as clearly as I do here. I'm not a healthcare professional. I explain and support; I don't diagnose or treat.
They are two different projects, but they share the same way of working. I check the source, say what isn't known and don't recommend anything the data doesn't support.
